About Shaun Morrison.

Shaun Morrison

I became a freelance web designer in 2005 at the end of my time studying graphic design at the University of Brighton. I have always endeavoured to design and build websites of high-quality for a wide range of clients. I was employed by ISP Wessex Networks until May 2008 as chief designer. We now often work on projects together, and they are incredibly supportive of my freelance carrier.

Marrying accessibility and functionality with aesthetics and personality in site design is an obsession of mine – I do not believe they are mutually exclusive.

I enjoy, and am particularly experienced at web design and XHTML/CSS template creation. I also offer other services, such as Wordpress template integration and bespoke CMS design.

I freqeuntly work with and/or project manage other Brighton-based, highly talented specialist freelancers. This means I can handle projects for both individuals and small to medium enterprises (SMEs).

I like to focus on one or two projects at any one time, paying that extra attention to detail and working closely with our clients. I produce sites that I am proud of and support the clients' needs. I am well known for my efficiency in meeting deadlines.

I keep on top of the latest developments in web design by being involved in the new media scene and love to get our hands dirty at every stage of the project.

Why the name “Pictures and Writing” and what's it got to do with web design?

When a website is stripped of all styling, this is all that is leftover: pictures and writing. As a web designer these are the raw ingredients I work with everyday.

Other things you may like to know about me.

I love cycle-touring: in September 2007 I went to The Alps and this year I plan on going to the French Pyrenees. My other sporting passion is beach volleyball: I have even been known to play competitively at a couple of national tour events. I also try to play the guitar.

Currently, I am only available to work evenings and weekends.
Complete websites start from £1,200. My standard rates are: £240 per day & £30 per hour.

I also create Graphic & Logo Designs. Please Contact Me for further information. View my Portfolio.
